Tire & Wheel road hazard reimbursement photo guide

All photos must be provided for reimbursement

1

One photo of the full DOT

Please note that the full DOT (yellow) is often found on only one of the sidewall and will always end in four numbers (green) that represent the week and year that the tire was manufactured.

2

One photo of the full tread area, from one side to the other

3

One photo showing the full sidewall

This is used to verify the brand, type, and size of the tire so please make sure they are visible and legible in the photo.

4

At least one photo of the damaged area

The following photos show common punctures, cuts, and breaks in different areas. Please see (5) for examples of less common types of damage. Sonsio may request a photo showing an object in the puncture or break such as a pen or screwdriver to confirm it is through.

5

Examples of tire bubbles

The following photos show bubbles that have been caused by road hazard damage. Bubbles can be caused by defect and Sonsio will typically need to know if there is damage on their inner liner to proceed with processing a claim so we do NOT recommend taking photos of a bubbled tire unless you have been instructed to do so by a claim representative or can provide photos of the damage on the outside and inside of the tire.
